Sources & method
Fair-use aggregation, done in the open. Each item on the front page carries four things: an original one- or two-sentence summary, the newsroom’s name, a date, and a link that leaves this site.
House rules
Titles may follow the publisher’s headline when we are pointing at that story. Summaries are rewritten here and kept short. Images, when used, are either ours, licensed, or clearly credited file photos — never lifted from a paywalled gallery. If a publisher asks to be removed from the watch list, we remove them.
Live feeds
Optional RSS is wired in js/config.js. When liveFeeds is true, the browser asks a CORS proxy for public feeds (Detroit News section feeds, WXYZ, Eater Detroit, Pride of Detroit, and others you add). Failed feeds fail quietly; curated citations stay up. RSS items still render as outbound links with the publisher’s name on the card.
